K2 Base Camp TrekThis 26 day program is a strenuous trek culminating in an ascent of the Ghondogoro La to allow us to exit in a circuit route through the Hushe Valley. The pass crossing, an exciting and demanding day using fixed ropes and crampons, is a highlight of this journey taking us to a maximum altitude of 5750m. The views from the top are superb, with the entire Gasherbrum Group, Broad Peak and K2 laid out in front of you. This route covers an enormous amount of terrain and diversity and is respected as one of the worlds top 5 walks. Our program is sustained but within reach of anyone with a degree of fitness, and is certainly most suitable for first time trekkers. Guides and staff prepare you adequately in the use of crampons and fixed ropes prior to your ascent of the pass, and the descent down the fixed lines into the Chundehero Glacier. |

Zanskar Trek & optional Stok Kangri (6153m) ClimbJoin FTA Guide Gavin Turner for a once in a lifetime trek and climb to a remote and stunning region in northern India. Zanskar, which is located in the far north western Indian Himalayan region of Ladakh, is a remote, stunning, ancient and rugged mountainous world unlike any other place on earth. Stok Kangri, at 6153m, is the highest peak in the Ladakhi range of the Himalayas and is the highest peak visible to the south of Leh, the ancient capital of Ladakh. While it is higher than most mountains in most continents in the world, its relatively straightforward approach and moderate technical challenges make it an ideal introduction to Himalayan mountaineering.
